What is the Swiss Average Rate Overnight (SARON)?

SARON is Switzerland's overnight reference rate, based on actual transactions and binding quotes in the Swiss franc repo market and administered by SIX. It replaced CHF LIBOR at the end of 2021 and is the floating leg of the CHF swap rates shown above.
